What this site is

kessler.studio describes the services of Kessler, a web studio in the Portland metro area, Oregon, and lets you write to us. Using the site creates no contract.

Prices and quotes

The prices published here are the prices we charge, the same for everyone, in US dollars. What governs a job is the written agreement: scope, price, delivery date and what is not included. If the site and an agreement ever differ, the agreement prevails for that job.

Agreements

Every job starts with an agreement signed by both parties and a 50 percent deposit; the shipping cost analysis is billed on delivery. Changes to a signed agreement are made only by a written addendum signed by both parties.

What you own

The site, store or report we deliver is yours once it is paid: domain, hosting, passwords and content in your name. Kessler keeps the right to reuse its own tools, code and methods, which are not specific to any client, and to show the delivered site as its work with your written permission.

Exclusivity

What people see on your site is not repeated for another business of the same trade in the Portland metro area while you are on maintenance, or for 24 months after delivery if you are not.

Third-party platforms

Hosting, domain registrars, store platforms and payment processors are services you contract directly, under their own terms and fees. We configure them as you instruct; we do not decide taxes or give legal, tax or accounting advice.

Liability

We do our work with care and fix our mistakes at no charge. Beyond that, our liability for any job is limited to what you paid for that job. We are not responsible for losses caused by third-party platforms, by content you provide, or by changes made by others after delivery.

Law

These terms and every agreement are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States.
